Bush Drops Rule On Hiring of Gays
"The White House yesterday abruptly ended its consideration of a regulation that would have let religious charities discriminate against gays in hiring, after Democratic leaders in the Senate warned that such a move would imperil Bush's core 'faith-based' initiative.
"Earlier in the day, White House officials said they were considering a request from the Salvation Army, the nation's largest charity, to issue a regulation that would protect government-funded religious charities from state and local laws barring workplace discrimination, including on the basis of sexual orientation.
"But yesterday evening, after the matter caused a furor in Washington and was denounced by Democratic lawmakers, the White House issued a statement saying it 'will not pursue the [Office of Management and Budget] regulation proposed by the Salvation Army and reported today'."
O absurdo não é que a legislação tenha sido abandonada; é que tenha sido necessário pensar em criá-la! A questão é simples: se uma organização não pode decidir quem contratar, se ela não pode decidir com quem ela deseja associar-se, se ela tem de trair seus princípios e suas idéias para adequar-se a caprichos politicamente corretos legitimados pelo Estado, então simplesmente não existem mais direitos de propriedade e não existem mais direitos de livre associação (que, claro, decorrem daqueles), as liberdades mais básicas foram extintas e estamos em plena tirania. O fato de ter sido necessário pensar em criar essa lei e, ainda por cima, o fato de ela ter sido abandonada mostra que, efetivamente, essa tirania já chegou, sob as bênçãos das organizações de vítimas oficiais. Até que ponto mais chegaremos? Cito as preocupações de Joe Sobran, em importantíssimo artigo recente:
"Suppose a feminist group sues the Catholic Church for the right of women to be ordained as priests. The case goes to the Supreme Court. If the Court follows its logic in the Boy Scout precedent, it throws the suit out. But if it follows the logic of its PGA ruling, it orders the Catholic Church to ordain women.
"For, the Court might argue, a male clergy isn’t 'essential' to Catholicism. Nothing in the Apostles’ Creed or the other great creeds requires it. Many modern theologians agree that the male clergy is no more than a historically and culturally conditioned tradition, now outmoded. This can’t justify 'discrimination' against women.
"The Church may argue that its religious freedom is being infringed; but the Court may reply that this is a 'civil rights' issue, not a religious one. Catholics are free to retain their beliefs and to practice their religion, provided they recognize the equal rights of women. After all, even religion is bound by secular law; human sacrifice wouldn’t be tolerated if it were practiced as part of a religious ceremony. It’s the same with civil rights.
"By the same token, and using similar logic, the Court could order churches not to discriminate against homosexuals.
"Unthinkable? No it isn’t. I just thought it. So many formerly unthinkable things have come to pass already, and we can expect many more. (...)
"Do you hear groups like the ACLU pledging that they will never try to force churches to act against their own moral principles? No, no more than you heard them pledging never to try to force the Scouts to accept homosexuals before they actually did it."

UN Reeling From Nastygrams
Graças às suas tentativas de tomar as armas de todo mundo, a ONU está sendo inundada por e-mails de protestos dos americanos.
"Americans concerned that the United Nations is conspiring to deprive them of their constitutional right to pack heat are firing hundreds of heated e-mails at a UN conference on small arms trafficking."
A reação dos burocratas da ONU é a típica reação dos tiranetes arrogantes: tratar críticas como ameaças. Os e-mails, então, estão sendo encaminhados ao sistema de segurança para avaliar os potenciais riscos que os críticos representam!
"Officials at the conference, which hopes to create an international system for tracking small arms sales, are so unnerved by the hundreds of angry e-mails that they are forwarding some of the nastygrams to the UN internal security department for 'risk assessment'. (...)
"Remarks about the messages from UN conference officials -- who spoke on condition of anonymity -- were vague and contradictory. The e-mails contained no specific threats, but only threatening messages would be forwarded to security; conference officials weren't determining what is a threat, but they were deciding which messages to forward on.
"'We keep receiving lots of e-mail,' a UN official said. 'Most are expressing political views on small arms, referring to the Second Amendment of the Constitution. But some of the e-mails are more threatening, expressing hatred toward the UN'.
"Although the volume of messages was unusual, alerting security of concerns was standard procedure, the official said."
É óbvio que odiar a ONU não significa desejar matar seus burocratas; e só pessoas incapazes de aceitar críticas e debates podem sentir-se "ameaçadas" por elas.

Israel defends destruction of homes
"ISRAEL hit back yesterday at growing international condemnation of its operations against Palestinians, dismissing the criticism as “one- sided” and pledging to continue its controversial policy of demolishing Palestinian homes."
Nem mesmo americanos e ingleses aceitam mais a política israelense de demolir casas de palestinos - mas os protestos não têm surtido efeito algum.
"Ehud Olmert, the Mayor of Jerusalem, ignored the condemnation over the destruction of 14 Arab homes in the city on Monday. Another 18 have been slated for demolition by municipal bulldozers in the next two weeks, 11 in the Arab neighbourhood of Shuafat and seven more near the Jewish settlement of Har Homa, on the southern edge of the city.
“'We’ll start demolishing all unlicensed buildings from now on,' the Mayor, a leading member of the ruling Likud party, said.
"After the demolition of 14 Palestinian homes in Jerusalem and another 26 in Gaza, the Israeli Government was publicly denounced by Britain, the United States, the European Union and Russia."
Nenhum país considerado democrático, no mundo, trata sua população civil de maneira tão brutal. Mas Israel não apenas o faz como ainda recebe aplausos daqueles para os quais o país é o único representante da "civilização" no meio de árabes bárbaros e, por isso, tudo que faça é justificado. Grande civilização essa.

Patriot Socialists (and Neocons)
Trecho especialmente brilhante de um excelente artigo de Daniel McCarthy sobre patriotismo e nacionalismo (no qual ele trata de temas afins aos de que tratei na minha coluna da sexta passada):
"Both groups claim to be patriotic, but they have different ideas of what constitutes patriotism. For the nationalists patriotism means supporting war efforts, whether that’s entering World Wars, fighting wars against Communists, wars on drugs and poverty, and of course the original nationalist war, the War of Federal Aggression against the South. For many pluralists (again, they don’t all agree), patriotism means some kind of loyalty to the patria, the land of one’s forefathers. That doesn’t mean never leaving the place where your grandfather is buried, but it does mean you stay loyal to your family and to a tradition that is more than just a government. It means loyalty to people both living and dead, blood family and extended family, and their beliefs and customs.
"The nation-state, as embodiment of the abstract general will, competes with particular families and cultures and their traditions for the loyalty of the individual. This is why socialists need not be internationalists, because the nation in fact is a very effective way to erode and replace human loyalties, making everyone equal by dissolving their will to give preferences to their own families and traditions. The war on prejudice and discrimination ultimately becomes a war on family and friendship, anything that makes people treat one another with distinctions."

A nova presidente da universidade de Princeton - um dos antros do PC - está propondo uma affirmative action para alunos de cabelo verde - ou rosa, ou azul... Eu não estou brincando, está lá no Boston Globe, respeitável jornal esquerdista:
"Shirley M. Tilghman is just three days into her job as the new president of Princeton University but she has already identified a major problem. It is green hair. Not that there is too much green hair on campus. But that there is none at all.
'''I would like to think we could begin to attract students with green hair,' declared Tilghman a few weeks ago. 'We will take pink and blue and orange hair, too.'

U.S. Sticks To Its Guns
Mais uma para agradecermos aos americanos: graças às pressões deles (junto com a Rússia e a China!), o acordo da ONU que visava a proibir o comércio internacional de armas de pequeno porte - e que acabaria resultando numa proibição mundial do porte e talvez até da posse de armas - não terá eficácia para seus signatários; será apenas uma espécie de compromisso moral.
"The United States voiced a host of objections to the draft proposal, including its inclusion of weapons that civilians can legally own, such as handguns and hunting rifles. John Bolton, the U.S. undersecretary of state for arms control said Washington rejected any attempt to limit legal commerce in firearms or intrude on domestic matters such as the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. (...)
"The United States 'cannot and will not support' any move to limit gun trade only to governments or adopt a legally binding treaty to curb small arms trafficking, he said.

Claro que nós, brasileiros, não precisamos da ONU para nos impor uma idéia tirânica dessas, porque já contamos com nosso próprio governo, mas é animador que a tirania ainda não se tenha globalizado. Apesar disso, adivinhem quem lá estava para criticar a atuação americana? Cito a matéria da CBS:

Kyoto treaty is 'dead' after Australia joins the boycott
Depois de o Japão indicar que, por causa da oposição americana, não assinaria o tratado de Kioto, agora foi a vez dos australianos:
"Robert Hill, Australia's Environment Minister, said: 'When I say it is dead, what I mean is without the United States it's an ineffective global response and it won't serve the purpose for which it was constructed.' His comments struck a devastating blow to an EU delegation that had sought to secure Japanese and Australian agreement to proceed without America. President George Bush announced in March that he would not ratify the agreement and Japan announced on Monday that it was not willing to conclude an agreement without the Americans. A breakthrough is now unlikely when political leaders meet next week in Bonn, in an attempt to rescue the plan drawn up four years ago in Kyoto, Japan, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions."

Standing ovation as Barenboim defies Israel's taboo on 'Hitler's composer'
Interessante relato de Eric Silver do concerto de Barenboim com a magnífica orquestra Staatskapelle de Berlim no Festival de Israel. O maestro cortara Wagner do programa por pressões de sobreviventes do Holocausto, que diziam que essa era "a música dos campos de concentração" e que não devia ser tocada em Israel.
Depois de tocar a Quarta Sinfonia de Schumann e a Sagração da Primavera de Stravinsky, Barenboim começou o "bis" com a Valsa das Flores (eca!).
"Then, after the applause had died, Barenboim turned to the audience. Speaking quietly, in Hebrew, without a microphone, he said he was talking to us man to man (and woman). He reminded us why he had cancelled the Wagner. But now, he went on, the official concert was over. If we really wanted to hear Wagner, they would play it as his 'personal encore'. Nothing to do with the festival, nothing to do with the orchestra. If not, the musicians would pack up and go home without fuss.
"The vast majority of the audience applauded enthusiastically. Yes please, maestro. A handful walked out, perhaps in silent protest, perhaps because they had to relieve the babysitter. Half a dozen objected. 'It's a disgrace,' the widow of an eminent rabbi shouted. 'It's the music of the concentration camps,' an elderly man bellowed. Others yelled back: 'If you don't want to hear it, go home. You've had your money's worth'."
As discussões continuaram por meia hora.
"Finally, Barenboim signalled the orchestra and waited, baton poised, for silence. As they began to play the overture from Tristan und Isolde, fewer than a dozen objectors walked out, slamming doors and stamping feet. The rest of us sat enthralled through 10 minutes of wrenching, lyrical tenderness, the antithesis of the Teutonic bombast that turns some people off Wagner. Ministers reject EU tax plan
Os ministros da economia dos países europeus não estão dispostos a aceitar uma das idéias mais tolas dos últimos anos, da qual tratamos aqui semana passada: a proposta do atual presidente da União Européia de promover uma cobrança direta de impostos sobre os cidadãos europeus pela UE, a fim de tornar a UE "mais próxima do povo". É como dizer: eu quero me aproximar de você, então, vou tomar seu dinheiro. É óbvio que a proposta tem infinitamente mais chances de criar conflitos do que de aumentar a popularidade da UE, como reconheceram alguns ministros:
"But the idea has divided member states. During a televised debate, the British, Irish, Swedish and Dutch ministers all rejected and even ridiculed the idea.
"The Dutch Minister, Gerrit Zalm, said that the last time such a tax had been introduced in the Netherlands, it had sparked the eighty years war against Spain in the sixteenth century.
"His Irish Colleague, Charlie McCreevy, said it was a tax dispute which had also triggered the American war of independence."

O que fizeram com o meu Nordeste?
Excelente artigo de Bento Souto sobre os efeitos da "ação afirmativa" e do "welfare state" sobre o povo nordestino:
"Quando saí do Nordeste em 1981, daqui levei uma visão de que o nordestino era 'um valente', homem de 'honra' e extremamente 'trabalhador'. Além de tudo isso, uma das características que eu mais admirava era a sua inteligência em lidar com situações adversas que desmontariam completamente outros povos. Quando voltei, 20 anos depois, descobri uma outra realidade.
"O nordestino 'valente' e 'trabalhador' aderiu aos benefícios do Funrural. Ou seja, 'se aposentou'. Mesmo que com R$ 181,00 por mês. Enquanto viajava fazendo uma pesquisa por parentes antigos, no sertão (na divisa da Paraíba com o Rio Grande do Norte), não via plantações. Perguntei a um tio-avô: por que ninguém planta nada, já que há tanta água (havia em relação ao inverno do ano passado)? A resposta dele valeu mais do que mil horas de conferências políticas.
"'Meu filho, quem é que vai querer plantar e correr o risco de perder? Ninguém mais quer trabalhar na lavoura. Em quase todas as famílias existe um aposentado, às vezes dois (marido e esposa). Com essa renda eles se mudam para a cidade e só vêm ao sítio para visitar. Afinal, lá tem energia (antes do apagão), televisão, escola pertinho, e os filhos - ah! esses são os principais - não querem nem saber de voltar a viver no campo'."

Negros: o longo braço do passado
Dir-se-á e escrever-se-á tanta besteira por ocasião das manifestações "contra o racismo e a intolerância", os preparativos brasileiros para a conferência da ONU, que confesso que minha pouca paciência tem feito que eu me afaste do assunto. Não leio os artigos que saem todo dia na imprensa a respeito, e não acompanho o noticiário. Já tenho motivos suficientes para me irritar, e não preciso acrescentar mais esse.
Mas não pude evitar ler a respeito no Globo de hoje e, como sempre acontece em questões como essa, a seção de cartas é um primor de bom senso, enquanto a seção de opinião é um primor de idiotice. Há três cartas hoje sobre a manifestação dos negros no shopping Rio Sul, durante a qual cartazes foram colados nas lojas sugerindo que as pessoas não comprassem ali, porque seus donos são racistas malvados que não dão emprego a negros. Vale citá-las:
De Mário Negreiros:
"Crias obedientes da affirmative action americana, os defensores de cotas raciais para a contratação de pessoas são, elas sim, rigorosamente racistas; afinal, tentam impor um critério racial para a escolha de pessoas a ser empregadas. Se preterir uma pessoa num emprego por causa da cor da pele é atitude asquerosa, empregá-la pelo mesmo critério é ofensivo. Ofende, antes de mais nada, quem, da mesma cor, terá méritos, além da cor da pele, para conseguir o mesmo emprego."
De Gustavo Rocha Fonseca:
"O espetáculo armado no Rio Sul mostra que o nazismo fez escola. Na Alemanha das décadas de 30 e 40 também colavam adesivos nas lojas de comerciantes judeus identificando-os e propondo o boicote."
De Luiz Roma:
"Afinal, o que querem os que bradam afrimando existir racismo no Brasil? No mundo de hoje só vencem aqueles que são competentes, independentemente de ser branco, preto, amarelo. Não acho que devamos abrir mão dessa premissa só para agradar a ONGs que, por serem competentes, conquistam rendimentos monetários, políticos e espaço na mídia. Racismo é o que eles estão fazendo. Qualquer indivíduo tem espaço para se desenvolver dentro da sua competência. Já pensou se alguns brancos fossem reclamar que os times de futebol no Brasil têm mais negros que brancos?"
Acrescento que, apesar disso, os negros reclamam de que os times de natação têm mais brancos que negros! A questão das lojas é simples: o comerciante que adotasse realmente uma política racista (seja pró-brancos ou pró-negros) dificilmente manteria seu negócio, porque estaria abrindo mão de ter os melhores funcionários; estaria abrindo mão da eficiência - mas precisa dela para sobreviver no mercado. Não afirmo que isso não aconteça, porque as pessoas são idiotas e presas de preconceitos tolos, apenas que, primeiro, não é normal que aconteça e que, segundo, não é possível impedir que isso aconteça por determinação legal.
Mas deixemos o bom senso da seção de cartas e desçamos às miudezas: na página de opinião de hoje há um artigo de um tal de Roberto de Carvalho, apresentado como "chefe de gabinete parlamentar na Assembléia Legislativa do Rio". Esse senhor diz a seguinte maravilha:
"Podemos definir isto assim: historicamente, as formas de exclusão dos afrodescendentes, após a Abolição, não estabeleceram formas de segregação racial como ocorreram nos casos americano e sul-africano. No Brasil, as formas de exclusão foram juridicamente menos extremas. Com isso, houve menos conflitos políticos, econômicos, ideológicos e raciais do que nos EUA ou na África do Sul. No entanto, essa fórmula concebida pelas elites brancas brasileiras provocou mais apartheid do que imagina a sociedade brasileira, pois, de forma sutil, os negros são menos beneficiados do que os negros dos EUA e da África do Sul, hoje."
Achei que já tinha visto de tudo em termos de idiotice do movimento negro. Mas não esperava ler uma apologia do apartheid e da segregação racial, nem ver alguém dizer expressamente que o "racismo sutil" - que é tão sutil que, para demonstrá-lo, é preciso uma ginástica argumentativa com dados econômicos - é pior do que o racismo explícito e oficializado em leis. A estupidez nunca cessa de nos surpreender.

Política e religião
O noticiário político brasileiro é tão idiota que me coloca na incômoda posição de defender um político que detesto. Mas de todas as críticas que se podem fazer a Garotinho, a única que a imprensa (e seus adversários políticos em geral) adota é a repetição dos mais rasteiros preconceitos anticristãos.
Vejam o festival de idiotices da (horrível) colunista de política do Globo, Tereza Cruvinel:
"Somos um país de tão escassa tradição democrática que FH será o terceiro presidente pós 1930 eleito pelo voto direto a concluir seu mandato. Os outros dois foram Dutra e Juscelino. A incipiente experiência democrática confunde-se com a falta de tradição partidária. Na democracia é papel dos partidos encarnar as frações plurais da vontade popular e representá-las na disputa pelo poder. As religiões têm também um papel relevante em qualquer sociedade, mas como instância organizadora do simbólico e do sagrado. E assim devem ser vistas e respeitadas, mas sem trazê-las para o plano conflitante e profano da política. Uma candidatura ainda que partidária, mas assentada em discurso nitidamente religioso, não servirá ao fortalecimento dos partidos e da democracia. Garotinho tem partido e vem apresentando propostas programáticas, ainda que um tanto vagas. Mas em apresentações como a de sábado não falou delas nem de seu PSB."
Quanta titica de touro. Segundo a colunista do Globo, é antidemocrático que um candidato assente seu discurso em temas e valores religiosos. O ateísmo é, então, o requisito exigido por dona Teresa para um regime democrático, porque os partidos precisam representar as "frações plurais da vontade popular". Fingindo por um instante que realmente seja isso que acontece num regime democrático, por que diabos parte dessa "vontade popular" não pode ser a ver valores religiosos representados no Estado (e supondo por um instante que isso seja possível)? Ou a religião não é preocupação legítima para o povo e seus supostos representantes?
É claro que a adoção de uma religião oficial com a proibição da prática das demais religiões seria uma ofensa aos direitos da população não-adepta daquela religião, mas não é isso que Garotinho propõe; ele propõe apenas uma política inspirada em valores cristãos. E nenhuma pessoa com mais de dois neurônios pode negar que, se os candidatos se propõem a representar a vontade popular e se grande parte dessa vontade popular é inspirada por valores cristãos, é normal que os candidatos também aleguem esses valores. Eu não concordo com a política de Garotinho, e acho até que ela viola alguns valores cristãos, principalmente porque ela, como todas as outras propostas políticas brasileiras, se assenta na institucionalização do roubo, através das "medidas sociais", criando como disse Gary North, uma "exceção democrática" ao "Não roubarás"; mas não vejo nenhum absurdo e nenhuma violação da democracia na simples defesa desses valores.
Pelo contrário, foram esses valores que inspiraram a própria idéia democrática: foi o conceito cristão de dignidade e inviolabilidade da pessoa humana que criou a idéia de liberdade política (que, depois, a própria democracia viria a trair, ao tornar-se "social-democracia"), como qualquer semi-analfabeto em ciência política deveria saber. Mas é pré-requisito para escrever sobre política no Globo ser analfabeto em política, sem o "semi". E dona Cruvinel cumpre o pré-requisito.

Drop that phone
Excelente artigo de Jacob Sullum sobre a lei nova-iorquina que, a exemplo do nosso Código de Trânsito, vai multar quem estiver usando um telefone celular enquanto dirige.
Leis como essa e a da proibição do álcool na direção - que penalizam comportamentos que, em si mesmos, não são criminosos - não servem nenhum efeito prático, até porque estatisticamente os acidentes causados por esses comportamentos são mínimos. Elas não surgem de um desejo de ultraproteção do Estado-babá, mas de um desejo de "educar" a sociedade por meio de imposições legais - engenharia social, em outras palavras. Num caso, trata-se do já antigo horror a uma substância que o Estado-babá considera "perigosa"; no outro, de um invejoso ódio antitecnológico. Usar um celular e consumir álcool são liberdades que desagradam aos planejadores centrais - e daí surgem leis idiotas como o nosso Código de Trânsito. Como diz Sullum:

The decision to single out a particular driving hazard is partly a matter of practicality, but it may also reflect a moral judgment that has nothing to do with safety.
"Laws against driving while intoxicated, which criminalize behavior that's less dangerous than driving after midnight when you've been up all day, make a statement against drinking in general. Similarly, cell phone bans suggest discomfort with a new technology that goes beyond its role in traffic accidents."

The Horror!...(hic)...The Horror!
A mesma histeria americana contra o álcool começa a se repetir na mídia brasileira, com alguns repórteres escandalizados ao saber que a idade média em que os brasileiros começam a beber é de 13 anos. Putz, que novidade!
Algumas doses de bom senso, em recente nota de Jim Knipfel na seção de comentários breves do NY Press:
"Whoa, nellie! Stop those presses one more time! According to a report on this morning’s AP wires, teen drinking is...why, it’s rampant! When the hell did that happen, I wonder?
"I’d estimate maybe six, maybe seven thousand years ago—but that’s just a ballpark guess on my part. Alcohol, being among the oldest intoxicants known to man, has been enjoyed—and yes, abused—by people of all ages since before recorded history. I don’t think we’re going to change that now—nor should we.
"Americans were frantic about teen drinking in the 20s—and the 50s, and the 70s and the 90s—and all the years in between. And so every couple years, we get these jittery reports about how our teens are drinking, and speculation about what we might be able to do about it. Jesus Christ, to see horrified announcements that college freshmen are actually drinking is ludicrous. What were all these panic-mongers and worry-warts doing while they were in college? Ruining things for everyone else, I bet."
O que mais me espanta é que a nossa juventude está cada vez mais iletrada e se divide entre os alienados debilóides e os servos dos comunas, mas a imprensa só se preocupa com o fato de eles estarem tomando uma cervejinha de vez em quando. Mas, claro, não custa lembrar que os membros da imprensa também se dividem nesses dois grupos...

Sporting victories
Taki, na mosca, sobre a Inglaterra e a União Européia:

The socialist twins now call themselves the EU, with yesterday’s communists taking the helm all over Europe, claiming to be new, ‘good’ socialists. Blair’s Third Way is a ruse to make the English sleep, and once he has dismantled the country’s institutions, it will be too late."

Not just a publicity stunt - Rio bulldozes 100,000 guns in Brazil's biggest campaign against violent crimes
Em matéria no jornal esquerdista San Francisco Chronicle, a srta. Jessica Galeria elogia a palhaçada da destruição das armas no Rio:
"Critics called the weapons "rusty old relics," that were only destroyed because they would have fetched little or no kickbacks -- even in the gun- infested shantytowns, or favelas.
"True, some of the guns heaped onto the photogenic 4,304-square-foot pile were rusty and old. But if even one of those guns was destroyed instead of left inside someone's closet where it might be accidentally fired by a child, or used to irreversibly end a drunken argument, then the event was more than a publicity stunt."
O mesmo dramalhão de sempre dos comunas: as armas são perigosas demais para ficar nas mãos dos cidadãos, porque ninguém pode confiar neles: ou eles ficarão bêbados e as usarão para matar alguém durante uma briga, ou as deixarão em algum lugar de fácil acesso para crianças, que ficarão feridas. A coisa é tão tola e sentimentalóide que nem vale a pena discuti-la.
O que é realmente interessante é saber quem é essa srta. Galeria, porque isso nos dá um curioso dado sobre a campanha pelo desarmamento: ela é uma "Fulbright scholar" que trabalha para o Viva Rio estudando "a violência das armas" (que, suponho, se atiram a si mesmas). Ou seja, recebe uma alta grana de uma fundação americana para testar por aqui planos de reengenharia social. Como ela existem centenas, e essa gentinha - que deve literalmente ser chamada de "servos do imperialismo" - tem papel decisivo em campanhas e leis "politicamente corretas".
